Sustainability

Nothing goes to waste.

Wood vinegar — a natural by-product of carbonising wood — is bottled and sold rather than discarded. About 300 litres are recovered every month.

By-product

Nothing goes to waste

Wood vinegar is produced naturally during carbonisation — the same process that makes our charcoal. Rather than letting it go to waste, we condense, collect and bottle it as its own product line.

Sourcing

From waste to value

Our wood is prepared and processed on-site before it goes into the kiln, and every part of the process is designed to leave as little behind as possible — from the wood itself through to the vinegar recovered from it.
