4 Brothers Coal (Pty) Ltd was built on a simple idea: produce charcoal and firewood the honest way, ourselves, from raw wood to finished product — and let the quality speak at every braai, bakery oven and butchery counter we supply.
Our story
From rural wood to premium fire
What started as a small operation has grown into a production business supplying restaurants, butcheries, shisa nyamas and independent stores across Durban. We produce charcoal, briquettes, instant lite charcoal, firewood and wood vinegar — every stage handled in-house, from sourcing wood to sealing the final bag.
We deliver free of charge within a 20km radius of Durban Central on orders of 25 bags or more of charcoal, firewood, instant lite charcoal or briquettes.

Our first packaging design, hand-drawn for the business, still hangs in our warehouse today.

4 Brothers Coal is owned and managed by four young brothers — two Dakis and two Gebashes — who run the business from production floor to delivery bakkie.
